Wall of Love (Mur des Je t’aime)
There's a public garden located in Square Jehan Rictus near the Place des Abbesses in Montmartre. The old town hall of Montmartre was located here from 1837 to 1882. The square is named after a French poet. In 2000, artists Fédéric Baron and Claire Kito created an interesting mural for the square. There are 612 tiles of enamelled lava. The phrase "I love you" is featured 311 times in 250 languages. The two artists wanted the wall to reflect the union of all people. Info: 18th/Metro: Abbesses. Just north of the Place des Abbesses.
